Description

These special flexible shafts do not have a handpiece for tool mounting and are particularly flexible in the front section. The POLISTAR-TUBE grinding tools are attached directly to the core of the flexible shaft with screws (INOX type). POLINOX cross buffs PNST are screwed on with adapter AD M4 or AD M5 (accessories). This combination is highly suitable for gradual fine grinding and cleaning of inner surfaces of pipes and pipe bends. Both pipe bend ends can be deburred from the entry side.

The PST-T flexible shaft is suitable for grinding the insides of pipes.

Recommendations for use
  • Flexible shaft motors with stepless rotational speed regulation are recommended as tool drives.
  • Before the POLISTAR-TUBE and the shaft are introduced into the pipe, the tool should be preformed and adjusted to the pipe diameter.
  • At the moment of introduction, it is recommended to reduce the respective operating speed of the POLISTAR-TUBE.
  • The grinding of pipes with more than three bends should be performed from both ends whenever possible.
  • When the tool flaps emerge at the end of the pipe, they can be withdrawn while in rotation. This way, the rear side of the POLISTAR-TUBE deburrs the pipe end and at the same time polishes the inside of the tube during the reverse motion.
  • All flexible shaft drives with rotational speed range 7,650–1,500 RPM and flexible shaft connection DIN 10 can be used.
